Home-Start Guernsey
There for parents when they need us most, because childhood can't wait
Fundraising
Home-Start Guernsey is a charity funded solely by the generous donations of our local community. If you would like to support this wonderful charity, please get in touch.
In recent years, Home-Start UK has lost over 40% of its statutory funding and now, like Home-Start Guernsey, relies heavily on the generosity of our community to continue supporting parents and children.
We all need a helping hand at some point in life — and with your support, we can make a real difference to a child’s future.
- £10 provides storybooks for a parent to share with their child at bedtime
-
£15 provides a parent with a self-care parcel
-
£15 enables a parent and child to enjoy quality one to one time together — strengthening their bond through activities such as arts and crafts or swimming
- £20 covers a volunteer’s expenses for a month
- £70 covers one Dragonflies session
Every donation, big or small, helps change lives. Please help us to give children the best possible start.
Fundraising Events
Home-Start Guernsey is responsible for raising all the funds required to run our family support service. There are various ways in which you can help contribute financially to our charity:
We are always happy to offer help and support to individuals or companies looking to hold fundraising events on our behalf. From tea parties to quiz nights to sponsored walks, there are many ways to raise funds to support our work. Corporate Sponsorship
Corporate sponsorship can bring many benefits to a company and even small donations can make a big difference to our scheme. If your company would like to contribute to the work of Home-Start Guernsey we would love to hear from you! We would also be happy to come and speak to your staff about the role we play and how they could help. In the past, companies have sponsored special events such as our Christmas parties, or our summer trips, or they have made an unrestricted donation which we put towards our core work. Editor: There is a limit to how much magic stuff I can do here. I have no idea if you have a fundraising account anywhere that we can link to. If there is one or more, we would add them to this page. If you need help and don’t have one, I can give you some pointers. If you do not have a fundraising partner account like CAF for example, you could look at Welcome – Online fundraising with People’s Fundraising (peoplesfundraising.com)
